Lego Death Star

Lego Death Star – The Final Weapon

by Cheema Beckham

One of the most evil and malicious, yet most adored items in the Star Wars movies was the artificial moon - Death Star. The Death Star was the ultimate weapon for the absolute destruction of the enemy.

If you know the Star Wars series, you will remember that it was being constructed by Emperor Palpatine around the moon of the planet Endor. Luke and his friends had to destroy it at all cost.

Lego’s innovative designers also made use of its popularity and rolled out a magnificent and grandious model of the Death Star.

Sennah Burns actually owns one! His father Kevin gave him a challenge and he was able to succeed, he could choose anything from the Lego Shop. He chose the Death Star. Maybe Kevin isstill paying for it!

Back to our story: This innovation brought this terrifying weapon within the reach of children around the globe.

Every kid can own his own planet-destroying weapon. This colossal model is 16.5 inches in diameter and utilizes about 3803 bricks to assemble. Many of these Lego bricks have specially been designed for this particular model.

It is not very easy to assemble for younger children but they can learn a great deal and use their mental skills to successfully assemble the model.

Sennah and Jonah Burns (Kishiya) were able to assemble it over a number of days when they were 11 and 13 years old respectively.

It is almost impossible to build without the Death Star instructions included inside the set. I recommend gluing itas you assemble it or after. As it will break easily if knocked.

Indeed the Lego Death Star is one of the most elaborate Lego models. The emphasis on detail is commendable.

In the Death Star control room, several station decks, a hanger bay, the throne room of the emperor and various other facilities have been made in their entirety.

The set includes 24 mini figurines which include Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Leia, Emperor Palpatine, Han Solo and other leading characters. You will definitely love this set if you are a Lego mini figurine collector.

The Lego Death Star is a hot item anytime of the year and is always in demand. You cannot afford to skip this grand set in your collection. Your collection of Lego sets can never be worthwhile without the Death Star.

If you are a Star Wars fan, it is a must buy!
