Lego Christmas

Lego Christmas

by Kevin R. Burns

About Lego: How I got started

How did I get started in Lego?

Well I first played with Lego as a young child. My parents bought me a small box set that made a small house and a truck. Forty years later I still remember. It brought a life-long love of Lego for me.

Now my two sons and my daughter all enjoy Lego. My sons are into Lego much more than I and in the pages of lego-country, their love of Lego will come through.

There seem to be many more Lego sets available these days than when I was a boy in the 60s and 70s. My sons love Lego Star Wars, and enjoy many of the other Lego sets.

My daughter is into the "girlie" style lego--with the butterflies and kind of a barbie like style.

Recently all three kids enjoy the Lego video games too.

They always say that history repeats itself, and I think this is true. My son asked for and got from Santa a Lego house. It is the Christmas set and it is beautiful. It is LegoSet #10199, the Winter Toy Shop, and it brings back to me thosechildhood memories of how I felt about the magic of Christmasand of course, the magic of Lego.

Lego in Japan

We live in Japan but travel throughout the world, so will report on the lego hobby in various countries. Japan definitely is a Lego country! For that reason this site will be in Japanese as well. Lego Country and Japan have a close relationship.

Why the Japanese ambassador just visited the other day. He was interested in the latest Star Wars developments and Indiana Jones and Batman escorted him throughout our country. Spiderman was handling security during the visit, he patrolled the buildings, weaving his web from skyscraper to skyscraper.

I wonder what he looks like in person?

There is always something happening in Lego Country so be sure to subscribe to our blog to find out the latest news.

Enjoy your stay!
