Why this website? The Story(Pictured, My wife, daughter and sons in Tokyo) I have always believed in freedom. Freedom to do what you want and financial freedom. I have always striven for more freedom in my life and hope to help my children to achieve it too. We live in Japan, perhaps the hardest working country in the world. However there isn`t much freedom here. About Us I try to encourage my kids to explore what they enjoy in the hopes that it could become a career one day. I told Jonah who is 14 years old, the story of a 14 year old Canadian girl who was making a few thousand dollars a month for a website she made about an island in the Caribbean. He was intrigued, as was his brother Sennah--now 12. So was I! (Update: The 14 year old Canadian girl is now in university, and making far more money for her website now. Some have retired because of their websites. I intend to too!)
I was told by so-called experts that making money on the internet was virtually impossible. As soon as I mentioned I wanted to make it by writing, that made them laugh. Unless you are Google or Facebook, you will not make money was their response. But they were wrong.
About Us - We would not be Deterred We talked about what we could make and we came up with the idea of a Lego site. It would be about something we loved, but ultimately it would be more than a hobby, we hoped to make money from it. About Us - How does a 14 year old girl from Canada make money? She has made a site with so much great information, and good writing that people buy things on the website. How? She makes money every time someone clicks on a google ad and buys something, or clicks on an affiliate ad and does the same. We hope to accomplish the same thing but about something we enjoy: Lego! I hope my sons can be more independent and learn how to write through this site. English is their second language so I want them to improve their English. They and I hope to make money. But that said, we hope to make a great site about Lego, one that you will enjoy, and we can be proud of.
We use a special kind of software from Canada called SBI or Site Build it. It is very easy to use, even I can use it! If you are interested in making your own website and the possibility of making money from it, take the video tour of SBI to find out if your website has a shot of being like Enid`s.An American who has essentially retired because of SBI. He is one of my heroes! If you want GRQ - Get Rich Quick, don`t bother with SBI. SBI will teach you how to build a real business online, one that you can give to your children or your grandchildren. There is no such thing as get rich quick, unless you are the owner of Facebook. (And if you are the owner of Facebook, then please come over for dinner!) This SBI site was actually Jonah and Sennah`s idea. So though I am doing most of the work, and so are some of our writers, the boys do some when they can, and an SBI site is a great way to teach teenagers the value of hardwork, and how using your head, using your imagination, can lead to big things. Your dreams can become reality. But you have to give them a chance. Most people will tell you, whatever you want to do, cannot be done. People love to do that. I`m not sure why? I have been told that many times. "Kevin you cannot start an English school in Japan." I own two schools. "Kevin you cannot make money on the internet from writing." We have proven this wrong. Which idea would you like to prove wrong? I find when people tell me it cannot be done. It spurs me on. Stay tuned! I will update this page as we progress.
