A GREAT DAY!

by Jacob Nelson
(Wilmington, NC)

Finally!! It was Saturday morning at 6:00. I had been waiting for this day. So I begged and begged for Dad to get down our STAR WARS LEGOS!!!
But Dad, looking at me in the dark, said, “Son, please, go back to bed.”
So I waited for hours and hours and finally, at 7:00, Dad got up. So I said, “Oh Dad, I’ll do anything……just get down the STAR WARS LEGOS.”
But Dad said, “How about you eat some breakfast first?”
That was the hardest part. But the chocolate chip pancakes were yummy.
Finally, Dad got them down. I chose Boba Fett for my mini-figure. Now to make a hideout with a carbon freezer to freeze Princess Lea with, and a ship. “Hey Matthew, can I borrow that spiral looking tube piece next to you?” I need it to finish my carbon freezer. Done!
Time for mission number 1235698. “Here I come Sarah……..I mean Lea.”
“Boba Fett! “ said my sister, “How dare you interrupt my tea party?”
“Luke to rescue,” said Matthew, “you’re safe now Leah!”
“Argghh, Luke Skywalker, you Jedi scum, you always mess up my plans. Try my Westar-38 blazer cannon……. Oops that didn’t work too well. AHHHHHH! Back to ship! Back to ship!” Hey, Matthew, what did you do to my ship?”
“I’m Luke, Jacob. He’s sposed to destwoy bad guy stuff”.
“Arggh, now what am I gonna………Oh I forgot my jetpack……. Boba, away!”
“Hey kids” said Dad, “It’s time to go to the beach.” It was hard to clean up. I could have played all day, but at least I got to go boogy boarding. That was a great day.
The End
